Just found this webpage and am having a ball. Graduated in '70 but recognize a lot of names. Our class has started planning the 30th reunion (we do it with Taconic and St. Joe) and anyone who has moved within the last 5 years please contact me so we can update our lists. and again I think that this whole website is just too cool - I've spent the entire afternoon going thru it.

Does anyone know anything about the class of 1959? There should be a reunion this year and I have seen nothing on the web. Can anyone help me?

Hello everyone! Looking forward to reunion. I will in the "Pitt" the weekend of 10/15/99 to see family. Look forward to it. Had a nice weekend in late August. Jim "Toe" Martin came to Chicago with some friends and we did the Notre Dame-Kansas football game, Second City, et al. It was a great time. Anyone else coming thru Chicago, let me know. Bye.

From: Bev Rainforth (bevrain@binghamton.edu)

I'm a 67 grad, and enjoyed reading the message board, especially the note from Phyllis Hobart Winn. Amazing as it may seem, I was recently wondering what happened to Roger Hobart after he moved to Texas. I remember Roger TRYING to teach me a dismount from the rings one afternoon. After I hung upside down for a long time, he (logically) thought I wasn't going anywhere and started watching someone who was actually moving. Something possessed me to let go and Roger turned around just in time to break my fall. I hurt my back but he probably saved me from breaking my neck. If you're out there Roger, thanks.

The PHS class of 1964 will be holding a 35th reunion get together at the GEAA on Crane Ave in Pittsfield on Saturday October 23rd from 7PM-til? Casual attire please. A $5.00 charge per person at the door will cover the cost of munchies and a Band. Other 60s classmates are also welcome. If you know a 64 PHS graduate, please pass this along as we have lost contact with many of our classmates.

I HAVE FOUND A 1970 CLASS RING!!!!!!! I would like help in locating it's owner. I called Pittsfield MA High School and they would not help me. My email address is listed here if someone has a 1970 yearbook maybe we could check the initials that are in the ring and I could locate the owner. I live in Northern New York and I found the ring in my yard after the terrible ice storm we had in January 1998. There were many utility crews here working from Massachusetts so I think someone who may have been working here may have lost it. I would certainly appreciate any help anyone can give me in this search of mine.

Here a few teachers and their rooms:

104 - Mrs. West 110 - Miss Rhodes 140 - the Language lab 145 - Mrs. Henderson 203 - Mrs. Schlawin 240 - Miss Curtin (English) 243 - Miss Curtin (French) 302 - Miss Coffey

Too bad the map of the third floor is not available. I could place Mr. Leahy, and a few others.

I believe by 1965 many of the rooms marked 'Study Hall' in the 1933 plan had been divided.

I was spending time on the net with my kids (Tara,12 & Paul,6) showing them some of the things I did back home when I was about their age. In response to their questions about my school days, I plugged in a blurb about "PHS, Pittsfield,Ma"not expecting to obtain anything. I was stunned when your reunion web page appeared. Wonderful job!!! It brought back many fond memories of what was an especially pleasant place to live...small town charm and unlimited outdoor recreational activities.I continually hope that the deteriorating economy that determined my relocation to the west improves to the point where I can return to Pittsfield. Iff anyone could furnish me with info about current local conditions, it would be appreciated. Thanks to those who produced this site!

Hi...I'm from the class of 1966. It was wonderful finding this site and would love to hear what's going on with class reunions. I lost touch since I left the area over 20 years ago, so would love to hear from anyone who graduated from that year. I'm also trying to locate a very close friend by the name of Kathleen March. Love to have some help. Thanks and would like to wish you 1965 grads a merry 2000 reunion.

What technology can do for us!

During a few idle minutes at work a few weeks ago, I turned to an AltaVista search of the web and lo, a web page for PHS. YOU'RE KIDDING, I thought. Inquiring minds have to know. This is like the yearbook online.

I began to shake as I read the posted messages, remembering names and placed mental memories of faces from 1965/66. Like many, I graduated in '66 and have not attended any reunions.

With relatives still in Pittsfield, I may have a reason to be there for the 35th.

Hello to friends and teachers gone but not forgotten!

I'm a graduate of 1964 looking for information about our 35th reunion, which comes up this year. Glad to find the Class of '65 is computer literate, but it seems our group hasn't yet caught up, so if anyone knows anything about the reunion plans, or can pass my e-mail address along to the organizers, it would be greatly appreciated. It was fun to skim through the posted messages and see some familiar names. I'd love to hear from old friends from both PHS and St Joe's. I manage to get back to vsit family in the Berkshires about once a year, but it's a long flight from Hong Kong, China.

It's so great to see the class of "65" alive and kicking, I get such a charge out of seeing all the familiar names on the list. Pittsfield brings back such good memories, it is a beautiful place to live. Since being out in San Jose Ca. I don't get back very often, but I'll be looking forward to seeing all of you at the 35th. Thanks for keeping up the greatest web page in cyberspace.

Happy 1999 everyone !! My first time here in quite a while. It's nice to see most of the class of '65 has been located. I notice Mike Travers' name remains on the missing list. Though he is not in the local phone directory now, he was living in the Southern portion of Worcester (MA) County. If I find more info I'll send it.

Hope to see you all in 2000. Bob Wright

I'm a newly initiated Internet/E-mail user and couldn't help but applaud your "thinking-ahead" class in setting up a Web Page for your Classmates. Would any of you happen to have any knowledge as to whether or not the Class of '49 has set up a Web Page? More-than-likely this info would have to come from your parents. I would appreciate your pointing me in the right direction toward same. Thank you ever so much for your indulgence and above all . . . Best of Luck & Congratulations on your 35th !!!

I grew up in Pittsfield and moved to Florida five years ago. I am a 1987 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. I just thought it was a great idea to have this website and it would be fun to create one for my class. I enjoyed reading about coach Moynihan because I grew up with his son and knew him very well. I'm from the class of '68, but my sister, Susan (aka "Laz") was in the class of '65. I really like the web site you've created and would like to do one for our class. Seeing the number of responses from '68ers leads me to believe others would be interested, too. I'm in the process of researching this.

As for our 30th reunion, it's going to be held on Sat. August 8, 1998 at the ITAM Lodge. Invitations are supposed to be sent out this month (6/98). Rob Geller, part of the reunion committee hosts an e-mail address at PHSCLASS68@aol.com. They're looking for classmates who are missing in action.

Looking forward to seeing you (and the Berkshires) in August.

I'm trying to find out about the 30th reunion of the Class of 1968 (my year of graduation). I heard it was going to be the first weekend in August, but haven't received anything in writing. Any help would be appreciated, as I am trying to plan my travel schedule.

Thanks Class of 1965 for setting up this web site. I'm from the Class of 1967 and we have already found people on this message board that we thought we had lost forever. This is a great way to reestablish old friendships and to remember the days when Pittsfield was a great small city and not just a suburb of the tourist meccas of Lenox and Stockbridge. I'd love to hear from some of my classmates if they're out there. Thanks.

I have enjoyed browsing the web page. This has certainly brought back old memories. I don't get to Pittsfield very often any more, as both my parents have passed away. I do have a favor to ask. Could someone find out how I can get in touch with a representative from the Berkshire County Historical Society. My grandfather (Dan Anderson) was a barber at the Wendell Hotel & YMCA. He also was a cartoonist for the Pittsfield newspaper. I have many original cartoons he drew between 1908 - 1913. They are in good condition.

I see some familiar names from when I went to SJH in 1964 65. We moved to Texas in 65. Memories of Pittfield are so clear...we shared the school with NJH because it had burned or something. We went in the A.M. and the NJH kids went in the P.M. Some of the names of friends I remember are Peter Nikitas, Susan D'Angelo, Nancy Nickum, Micheline Wyjkowsky, Laurie Kirby, Paul Augenstein, Judy Powers, Teresa Houghton, the Cadorette twins, Bobbie Smith (sobby biff, we called him) and Mr. Brown, the science teacher, to mention a few. I remember the halls being vacant on a Jewish holiday, or a Catholic holiday. My older brothers, Holly Hobart, and Roger Alan were active in athletics. Roger Alan was a center for the football team at one point. Holly was good at gymnastics. He never really got over moving from Pittsfield his Senior year. I have not been back since then. One day I hope to show my family where I used to live...the most beautiful place in the country. Texas is beautiful, also, and a very nice place to live. My son, Tim, plays football for Texas Tech U., my alma mater, and you can watch him this fall as their starting tight end. Bye ya'll
