Have been periodically checking this page...when I have time to surface. Still chuggin' away treating the walking well at ZooMass in Amherst, bastion of political correctness. Were we really that disconnected when we were that age? Hope this finds you all well and look forward to seeing you at the 35th.
From: Potsy1340@aol.com
"Great job you guys" Only wish the class of "64" thought of it first.
From: Ray Houghton (cyberhaus@msn.com)
Why haven't the PHS Web Pages been updated for two months? On September 18th, the business office next to Cyber Haus went up in flames. Smoke, heat and water damaged all of our equipment and we had to relocate temporarily. Cyber Haus' Web Sites, including the PHS Web Site, was also relocated to other Internet Provider's computers.
We are now back online at our original location, for which I am very thankful. I'm sorry to report that we lost some email in the process. If you sent a message to be posted and it's not here, please resend it.
Happy Holidays!
From: Gene Kraay (Baddyo@aol.com)
I'm off by a couple years, but I thought I'd give this a try. I graduated in '67, and I'm trying to catch up with a '66 grad, Bill Thomas. Bill graduated from PHS and went to Duke. My daughter is in her freshman year at Duke on a soccer scholarship, and I'd like to touch base with Bill. If anybody out there knows the whereabouts of Bill Thomas, class of '66, please E-mail to baddyo@aol.com. Thanks
From: Sylvia L. Rimbold (Sylvie7452@aol.com)
HI! I graduated in 1972. I moved to NYC about three years ago, and occasionally, I get a bit homesick. Its nice to see PHS on the web.
From: Bob Wright (rjw1947@aol.com)
Hi Everybody!! Just checking in after a wonderful summer. I have once again changed my email address. If anyone would like to reach me, email me at: rjw1947@aol.com. God Bless You All
From: Cathy Betti Pizzuto (CatBrat96@aol.com)
Great idea guys. Its nice to be able to find old friend and classmates. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you all in 2000. Cathy
From: Kim Chapman (Minniem061@aol.com)
I was surfing the net looking for my Alma Amter's webpage in Marietta, GA and found yours! I believe my entire family, on my father's side, went to PHS! My dad is George Chapman, and other family members like Julie Ouilette & David Chapman are among the relatives still in Pittsfield! In fact, I'll be up in Sept. for a Chapman wedding! Nice visiting you web page!!

Greetings from the class of 1983.
From: Chris Cross (cmcross@spiritone.com)
Hi all, I moved out west the end of January. The weather is nicer, rain instead of snow, but I miss the Berkshires.
From: Robert N McEneany (110303.1443@compuserve.com)
Hi, everyone! Just wanted to report a successful mini-reunion. My schweetie and I met Ray and Jan Houghton in the weird but wonderful city of San Francisco for an afternoon and evening. We had a great time (until I locked the keys in the car), and I have the pictures to prove it. Ray....look out, they're coming your way. See ya in 2000.
From: Maureen Poincelot Mercier (MoeMercier@aol.com)
I am looking for information on my graduating class. I would appreciate any information you could give me, I graduated in June of 1959. Through the years and many moves, have lost my yearbook. Would like to contact some members of my graduating class through email or snail mail.
Your site is great. I so enjoyed the print of Park Square. I have been away from Pittsfield for 30 years and have wondered many times how the city has changed. Would love to hear from anybody in the city. Thanks and good luck.
From: Jeanne Butler Boino (JEANBOINO@aol.com)
Hi Everyone. It's great that so many of us have discovered the web page. I have over 50 email addresses and am thinking of ways to get a directory together. Steve Garbowit was going to do it but other priorities have come up. Please send me your ideas. I don t think they should be easily accessible for the world to see so. HELP!
From: Cheryl Peterson Ames (cames728@aol.com)
I check this out every now and then and see new names all the time. We should give Ray & Jean a big hand for keeping us together.
Also have a new e-mail address cames728@aol.com. Anyone in the Virginia area or anywhere else that remembers the Peterson twins - please write.
From: Patricia Steensen Astore (KCDU80B@prodigy.com)
It is great that we have this sight and now that I have figured out how to get on here, I sure will use it.
Hoping to be in Pittsfield the week of the 4th of July...
Hope every one will keep this going. I am so thankful to the group that is keeping us together. And keeping us posted on what is going on with the class. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL.
From: Kathy (Trucen) Brassard (HarleyGrandma2@msn.com)
WHAT A GREAT IDEA!! My husband Dick graduated in 1962 from PHS and we'd like any information you might be able to dig up on a possible reunion this year (the 35th). If you can find any infor, please e-mail me at HarleyGrandma2@msn.com or maybe give me the name of someone in that class who might be able to help. Thanks and again, I wish my Mt. Greylock Class of '66 had a site like this.
From: Susan Lazerus Cohen (susanlaz@erols.com)
Hi there. Hadn't checked this site in a while and was surprised to see all the new messages. I unfortunately don't get up to Pittsfield that often anymore but will be up this summer for a few days. I can't wait til our 35th. Haven't missed one yet and they keep getting better and better -- thanks to Jeanne and her hard work each year. See ya. You can write me at susanlaz@erols.com.
From: Bob McEneany (MCENEANR@HQ15AF.TRAVIS.AF.MIL)
Hi to all. Thanx to Ray Houghton for making this web page happen. Thanx to Jeanne for keeping our clan together. Ran into Baxter Lane at a conference in Illinois...we had a great time talking old times over brewskis. His mom did a super job with the Park Square print. And Lee Anne...very talented...the quilt is wonderful...thanx very much. Looking forward to our next reunion in 2000.
From: Gail Ford-Begin (gail.ford-begin@beasys.com)
I am sad to report the passing of 2 of our classmates. Rosemary (Brown) Dowd died April 25, 1997 at Berkshire Medical after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. She was a friend during our days at NJH. She had a great personality and once told me when she got out of school she didn't want to leave Pittsfield, and she didn't. Robert Stodulski was pronounced dead May 2 at Berkshire Medical Center, the reason for his death was not given in the Eagle.
From: Henry Dondi (atlantis@vgernet.net)
It's great to have our own Web Site, it doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we were attending PHS and computers were only something that Big Business and the Government had. I saw some comments on the board about our turning 50 (I already have) this year. Well, just think of it as half way to 100! We are in the youth of our senior years. Our 25th and 30th reunions were terrific, but I am really looking forward to the 35th reunion in 2000.
As the commercial says: We're not getting OLDER, we're getting BETTER.
All my best to all of you -
From: Gail Ford-Begin (gail.ford-begin@beasys.com)
I didn't graduate with the class but I went through the Pittsfield school system (NJH) through grade 11 then moved to Virginia. I sure did know a lot of people growing up in Pittsfield and would love to hear from them. My sisters Sharron and Marcia Ford graduated a couple of years later. If anyone would like to respond who remembers any of us it would be great to hear from you. Sharron lives near me in California and Marcia lives in Tucson, Arizona. You may reach me by e-mail.

It has been a trip down memory lane visiting this web site and remembering way back when. Thanks to Jeanne for continuing to send updates of the class of 65. Even though I left Mass. after graduating from PHS in 65 and married and settled down here in Connecticut. I still have some fond memories of the class of 1965 and they will always be a part of me. I am anxious for my sons to view this web site as well, to view a glimpse of my past. Thanks to all.

I just found your web page, great idea. Hard to believe this is the year of the big 50!!! Seems like yesterday we were cruzing in our muscle cars up and down North St. Now they are antiques and worth a bundle and we are getting better with age.

The Web page is a great idea. Hello to all my classmates. I missed the last reunion, but I plan on making the next. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to retirement as I have been planning it lately.

For those out-of-towners that want to keep up with what is happening in Pittsfield. The Berkshire Eagle has a web page at http://www.newschoice.com/newspapers/newengland/eagle/.

Just checking in on this page again. Been so long since I have seen anyone, it is nice to see some familiar names. Sad to think of some that are no longer with us. After having moved to Montana for my senior year, I lost track of everyone. Now living in VA, I must be feeling the pang of mid-life. Glad there is a web page devoted to the class of 65.
From: Katie
Cool. 1965 was a cool year. I wasn't born though.
From: Shane Havener and DeeDee Dominichini
Greetings classmates of 1965:
At each reunion the comment is often made that 5 years is a long time to wait to get together. At the last reunion, the idea of taking a cruise together came up. Well, this is the year most of us turn 50, that's a hard fact to accept, so why not take a week-end cruise and celebrate with lifelong friends.
We would like a prompt response if you are interested and dates that you CANNOT go. We're looking at the Spring of 97. Week-end cruises typically start on Friday and return on Monday, Whether 4 or 40 go, I know we will have a great time. Just think; no cooking, no driving, 8 meals a day, 11 bars, Las Vegas style entertainment, a casino, sunshine and plenty of time to spend with friends.
If you are interested, let us know promptly. Leave your briefcase, laptop, kids, pets, mobile phone, jealous significant other and any stodgy attitudes you may have acquired at home. Bring your bathing suit, a good attitude and pictures (Of those at home!)
A non-stop party for three days will be an event to remembered. ( I'm sure some of us will find time to sleep.) Since I travel and am only home on week-ends, Dee Dee has agreed to handle the arrangements.
Contact Dee Dee or Shane through Jeanne Butler BOINO (E_Mail: jeanboino@aol.com). Jeanne will contact Dee Dee and a reply will be sent to you asap.
Hoping you can join us.
From: Millie Rodgers Southard (Mcs1004@aol.com)
I'm married to Dave Southard and if anyone would like to contact him, they can through me, Mcs1004@aol.com. He's not into computers, but I am, so I'll make sure he gets any messages. He would love to hear from anyone out there.
You've done a great job on the PHS page. I'm from the class of 1964 at St. Joe, but I know a lot of people who went to PHS.
From: Jeanne Butler-Boino (JeanBoino@aol.com)
I've been checking the message board in hope of getting some new news. I have started to update addresses again so if you have moved, please let me know.

Hay, this is a great thing. I am proud to be part of the class of 65. I always thought we represented Pittsfield well. This presence on the net and as part of Pittsfield is proof of that.
From: Dennis Ducharme (mediaconnect@flinet.com)
Sorry I missed the 30th reunion. Laney and I were attending our daughter's college graduation. We will be at the 35th. Just let us know when & where. Hope all the class is well. Denny

I'm looking forward to the 35th Reunion.
From: Nancy Knoblock Helmig (NHelmig@aol.com)
I was delighted to find the page for Class of 1965. I am Class of 1949 and as the century closes out, would very much like to get in touch with anyone, preferably in P'field, about the reunion in 1999. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thought I might run it past the EAGLE, but would love to hear from any class members from '65 who know 49ers.
From: Linda Fortini (jpcormie@cbcc.bcwan.net)
Hi. I'm the class 1999. Cool huh!!!!!!!!!!!!
From: Bob Wright (bobwright@cybercom.net)
Message: One year ago today, Nancy Wilson Beitzel succumbed to cancer of the breast. She labored in the latter stages but was comforted by her family at bedside. For many years she has lived in Clearwater, FL. She has three surviving sons and a step-granddaughter. Her mother, and sons were with her at the end. Her spirits were high in spite of the pain. Nancy will be well remembered by her friends from PHS and also those from NJH. Christine "Tina" (Zarvis) Adams, Christine Zaveruka and myself, as well as many others. Nancy and I were boyfriend/girlfriend from 9th grade until I enlisted in the Army. As we approach our half century mark, we realize how vulnerable we all are. Nancy's passing reminds us that we are mortal. Pause with me today to remember Nancy.

Message: Thank you to those who contributed to the PHS scholarship fund recently. $1,000 was received in the past six weeks and hopefully contributions will continue to come.
The recent mailing was two-fold; scholarship and updating addresses. Since August 1995, over 100 classmates have moved. Thanks to the national directory CD ROM, we found all but the following; D. Armstrong, L Blake, R Brush, B Chapman, Ron Chisholm, J Congress, M Cox, Rich Davis, S Dupont, J Faustine, C Fuhlbrigge, Robt Johnson, Dom Kirchner, C Manns, Kathy Marshall , M Massaconi, R Millard, A Murphy, J Nagle, C Rattay, L Robertson, J Rupprecht, B Shaw, D Sperlonga, E Slonski, L Spaniol, L Thomas, John Walton, E Williams, A Wright, R Wyatt and B Zimmerman.
If you have any info on any of the above, please contact Ray Houghton on this site or write to Jeanne.
We are aiming for the 35th reunion in 2000 to be the most successful yet.
Please let me know if you move or if you are in town, we will have a mini-reunion.
If you have an email address, please let us know.
Thanks.
