Soon the PHS halls will seem empty and the number of available seats at lunch will increase. The extra space will be easy to notice for it will be the area once filled by the seniors.
When we first went after this story a senior requested that we not overdo the sentimental side. We assure you we won't.
This year's senior class will be missed mostly by the junior and sophomore girls. It is worthy of note that this year's senior class had the highest rate of girls dating junior boys of any class in recent years. A rally next year won't be the same with a new set of Pep Club leaders and there will never be another JEAN CARMEL.
We must admit that if another BILL McCAULEY comes along the girls will be able to handle him. DOM CAPARELLO and JIM TREAT won't be fighting over the Friendly versus McDonalds. TIM CARLO is going into radio, but some say his typing teacher will keep him around for another seven years! BILL STANHOPE is the only one we know who can wrestle in the morning, play hockey in the afternoon, and ski at night. RAY MILLARD won't still be running the lobby like it was a basketball court. We find that a young man like JOHN FINN gets around to everything without a car. LINDA ROBERTSON has had a little pull in the office, but has done well on her own. PAT COUGHLIN and LIBBY FUNKE won't be able to howl at the moon anymore. We are going to miss MELLISSA MURPHY'S little yet low car. PAM BEEHLER is hoping that her Girl's Club Career Key will open ALL doors. GERRY COLVIN and BOB DUZLAK will be missed as our Plymouth Trouble Shooting team. KRIS RUTKA is going to Framingham (on a cheerleading scholarship?). JERRY MOYNIHAN will be missed by the golf team. PETE DANCKERT may have to be shipped back from Tufts to be the drummer for the band. JUDY DRAKE did a lot for the class play and received little credit. CRAIG McCLINTOCK is the last of his family to graduate from PHS-each has left a mark. KEVIN SMITH always had a smile (even on rainy days). Well, well WENDY LINSCOTT is off to Wellesley -bye Wendy! DAVE ZINK will have no more chances to run up and down the halls. SUE KNIGHT and BETTY TANTER won't be able to cause as much trouble anymore. GEORGE DAVIS and JUDY CONGRESS will never put on another show like "Pajama Game." MICHELLE BARRY keeps making statements about how happy she'll be at U. of Mass. (We will report on that later!) It's "Tough" that JERRY LaBEAU and GENE CURLETTI are going to Tufts. PETE RUSSO will be missed by the Student's Pen and by the baseball team. The Orchestra will lose some of its finest talent including RAY TAYLOR, TOM TOOTILL, GEORGE FULGINITI, MARK SCHLAWIN and ELLEN MORDASZEWSKI. BOB CALDERWOOD has crossed many hurdles that were not on the track. JOAN KELLY is going to work for the Parks Department (the poor children!) TOM CONUEL is another hard worker who got very little credit. JEFF HINE was an actor who never needed the stage. RON KASUBA played some fine basketball as did LOU ORAZIO and TOM FLEMING. Last, but certainly not least, a cheer to the only senior who will stay on, MR. MILON HERRICK. Now Mr. Herrick must get the class of 1967 off the ground and that will take lots of doing.
There are many seniors we have not been able to praise or poke fun at in this article. However, space does not permit us to go on.
For this writer it has been fun working with seniors. Speaking for all underclassmen we say GOOD LUCKI!
